Ian Beavis of Morden (with Steve Friesen, Ken Friesen, and James Pearce) won the HAMIOTA MEN'S CASH SPIEL (Sunday, Oct.30th), a long time fixture on the Manitoba tour.

Beavis earned $4,000 for an 8-6 extra end victory over Allan Lawn of Hamiota ($2,000) in the final. Trevor Loreth of St. Vital and Lawrence Daniel of Hamiota ($1,000 apiece) lost in the semi-finals (16 teams--four qualifiers).

The Hamiota Men's Cash Spiel wrapped up Sunday night, when Murray Warren of Deloraine (with Lorne Sambrook, Terry Warren and Reg Warren) defeated Jim Winfield of Dauphin 9-4 in the final.

Warren earned $2,500, Winfield $1,000, and losing semi-finalists Brent Strachan of Hamiota and Cam Thompson of Brandon picked up $750 apiece (10 teams - 4 qualifiers).
